Middle Eastern Recipes are derived from many different counties, resulting in a wealth of varying dishes, dependant on regions and cultures. The most common ingredients in most Middle Eastern Recipes are chickpeas, lentils, beans, olives, rice and pita, flavoured by mint, parsley, lemon & honey. Lamb is the most popular meat and, because of religious influences, pork is rarely used. For the same reason, a lot of Middle Eastern Recipes do not contain any meat at all, so there are many dishes which can be enjoyed by vegetarians.
